Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The RNF170-ADAM32 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of RNF170 and ADAM32 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Ring Finger Protein 170 |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a RING domain-containing protein that resides in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. This protein functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and mediates ubiquitination and processing of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) receptors via the ER-associated protein degradation pathway. It is recruited to the activated IP3 receptors by the ERLIN1/ERLIN2 complex to which it is constitutively bound. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal dominant sensory ataxia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012] |

Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 42704779-42751866 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
ADAM Metallopeptidase Domain 32 |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a member of the disintegrin family of membrane-anchored proteins that play a role in diverse biological processes such as brain development, fertilization, tumor development and inflammation. This gene is predominantly expressed in the testis. The encoded protein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature polypeptide comprised of an metalloprotease, disintegrin and epidermal growth factor-like domains. This gene is located in a cluster of other disintegrin and metallopeptidase family genes on chromosome 8. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
