Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The RGS20-MCPH1 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of RGS20 and MCPH1 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Regulator Of G Protein Signaling 20 |
Gene Summary 1 |
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) proteins, which are regulatory and structural components of G protein-coupled receptor complexes. RGS proteins inhibit signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits, thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound forms. This protein selectively binds to G(z)-alpha and G(alpha)-i2 subunits, and regulates their signaling activities. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011] |
Chromosome 1 |
Chromosome 8 |
Locus 1 |
8q11.23 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 54764367-54871863 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Microcephalin 1 |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a DNA damage response protein. The encoded protein may play a role in G2/M checkpoint arrest via maintenance of inhibitory phosphorylation of cyclin-dependent kinase 1. Mutations in this gene have been associated with primary autosomal recessive microcephaly 1 and premature chromosome condensation syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010] |
