Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The RAB28-STAP1 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of RAB28 and STAP1 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
RAB28, Member RAS Oncogene Family |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a member of the Rab subfamily of Ras-related small GTPases. The encoded protein may be involved in regulating intracellular trafficking. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 9 and X. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009] |
Chromosome 1 |
Chromosome 4 |
Locus 1 |
4p15.33 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 13369346-13485989 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Signal Transducing Adaptor Family Member 1 |
Gene Summary 2 |
The protein encoded by this gene contains a proline-rich region, a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, and a region in the carboxy terminal half with similarity to the Src Homology 2 (SH2) domain. This protein is a substrate of tyrosine-protein kinase Tec, and its interaction with tyrosine-protein kinase Tec is phosphorylation-dependent. This protein is thought to participate in a positive feedback loop by upregulating the activity of tyrosine-protein kinase Tec. Variants of this gene have been associated with autosomal-dominant hypercholesterolemia (ADH), which is characterized by elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels and in increased risk of coronary vascular disease. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015] |
