Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The MDM1-INSR Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of MDM1 and INSR genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Insulin Receptor |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate alpha and beta subunits that form a heterotetrameric receptor. Binding of insulin or other ligands to this receptor activates the insulin signaling pathway, which regulates glucose uptake and release, as well as the synthesis and storage of carbohydrates, lipids and protein. Mutations in this gene underlie the inherited severe insulin resistance syndromes including type A insulin resistance syndrome, Donohue syndrome and Rabson-Mendenhall syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2015] |

Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 7112265-7294011 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Mdm1 Nuclear Protein |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a microtubule-binding nuclear protein that localizes to the centrioles of dividing cells and differentiating multiciliated cells, and negatively regulates centriole duplication. The encoded protein is closely associated with the centriole barrel, and resides in the centriole lumen. naturally occurring mutations in the orthologous mouse gene are associated with age-related retinal degeneration.
