Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The LUC7L-AXIN1 Gene Fusion FISH Probe can detect the fusion of ABCA5 and BCAS3 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Axin 1 |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein which contains a regulation of G-protein signaling (RGS) domain and a dishevelled and axin (DIX) domain. The encoded protein interacts with adenomatosis polyposis coli, catenin beta-1, glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta, protein phosphate 2, and itself. This protein functions as a negative regulator of the wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 1 (WNT) signaling pathway and can induce apoptosis. The crystal structure of a portion of this protein, alone and in a complex with other proteins, has been resolved. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatoblastomas, ovarian endometriod adenocarcinomas, and medullablastomas. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016] |

Gene Summary 2 |
The LUC7L gene may represent a mammalian heterochromatic gene, encoding a putative RNA-binding protein similar to the yeast Luc7p subunit of the U1 snRNP splicing complex that is normally required for 5-prime splice site selection (Tufarelli et al., 2001 [PubMed 11170747]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008] |
