Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The KCNMB4-ALDH3B2 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of KCNMB4 and ALDH3B2 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 3 Family Member B2 |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase family, a group of isozymes that may play a major role in the detoxification of aldehydes generated by alcohol metabolism and lipid peroxidation. The gene of this particular family member is over 10 kb in length. Altered methylation patterns at this locus have been observed in spermatozoa derived from patients exhibiting reduced fecundity. Chromosome 11 |
Locus 1 |
11q13.2 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 67429632-67448685 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Potassium Calcium-activated Channel Subfamily M Regulatory Beta Subunit 4 |
Gene Summary 2 |
MaxiK channels are large conductance, voltage and calcium-sensitive potassium channels which are fundamental to the control of smooth muscle tone and neuronal excitability. MaxiK channels can be formed by 2 subunits: the pore-forming alpha subunit and the modulatory beta subunit. The protein encoded by this gene is an auxiliary beta subunit which slows activation kinetics, leads to steeper calcium sensitivity, and shifts the voltage range of current activation to more negative potentials than does the beta 1 subunit.
