Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The HTR7-VAC14 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of HTR7 and VAC14 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
5-hydroxytryptamine Receptor 7 |
Gene Summary 1 |
The neurotransmitter, serotonin, is thought to play a role in various cognitive and behavioral functions. The serotonin receptor encoded by this gene belongs to the superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors and the gene is a candidate locus for involvement in autistic disorder and other neuropsychiatric disorders. Three splice variants have been identified which encode proteins that differ in the length of their carboxy terminal ends. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
Chromosome 1 |
Chromosome 10 |
Locus 1 |
10q23.31 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 92500575-92617671 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Vac14, PIKFYVE Complex Component |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a scaffold protein that is a component of the PIKfyve protein kinase complex. This complex is responsible for the synthesis of phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate, an important component of cellular membranes, from phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate. Mice lacking a functional copy of this gene exhibit severe neurodegeneration. Mutations in the human gene have been identified in patients with a childhood onset progressive neurological disorder characterized by impaired movement, dystonia, and striatal abnormalities. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017] |
Chromosome 2 |
Chromosome16 |
Locus 2 |
16q22.1-q22.2 |
Coordinates 2 |
This gene maps to 70721341-70835061 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
