Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The GSTP1-ARFGEF2 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of GSTP1 and ARFGEF2 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Glutathione S-transferase Pi 1 |
Gene Summary 1 |
Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are a family of enzymes that play an important role in detoxification by catalyzing the conjugation of many hydrophobic and electrophilic compounds with reduced glutathione. Based on their biochemical, immunologic, and structural properties, the soluble GSTs are categorized into 4 main classes: alpha, mu, pi, and theta. This GST family member is a polymorphic gene encoding active, functionally different GSTP1 variant proteins that are thought to function in xenobiotic metabolism and play a role in susceptibility to cancer, and other diseases. Chromosome 11 |
Locus 1 |
11q13.2 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 67351065-67354124 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
ADP Ribosylation Factor Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 2 |
Gene Summary 2 |
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs) play an important role in intracellular vesicular trafficking. The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the activation of ARFs by accelerating replacement of bound GDP with GTP and is involved in Golgi transport. It contains a Sec7 domain, which may be responsible for its guanine-nucleotide exchange activity and also brefeldin A inhibition. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
