Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The RTTN-MAPK4 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of RTTN and MAPK4 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase 4 |
Gene Summary 1 |
Mitogen-activated protein kinase 4 is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family. Tyrosine kinase growth factor receptors activate mitogen-activated protein kinases which then translocate into the nucleus and phosphorylate nuclear targets. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014] |
Chromosome 1 |
Chromosome 18 |
Locus 1 |
18q21.1-q21.2 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 48086483-48258196 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Rotatin |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a large protein whose specific function is unknown. Absence of the orthologous protein in mouse results in embryonic lethality with deficient axial rotation, abnormal differentiation of the neural tube, and randomized looping of the heart tube during development. In human, mutations in this gene are associated with polymicrogyria with seizures. In human fibroblasts this protein localizes at the ciliary basal bodies. Given the intracellular localization of this protein and the phenotypic effects of mutations, this gene is suspected of playing a role in the maintenance of normal ciliary structure which in turn effects the developmental process of left-right organ specification, axial rotation, and perhaps notochord development.
